Black Magic
This Black Magic cocktail is spicy, slightly sweet, and so easy to imbibe! Vodka and ginger liqueur are combined with simple syrup in the base of this sinister cocktail. Activated charcoal turns this drink an eerie shade of black, while edible shimmer dust makes it reminiscent of a potion.

Black Magic Cocktail
This Black Magic cocktail is slightly spicy and extra spooky. Vodka and ginger liqueur are combined with a few other key ingredients to make this magical libation.
Servings 1 drink
Ingredients
- 1 oz vodka
- 1/2 oz ginger liqueur
- 1/2 oz simple syrup, see notes
- 1/2 oz lime juice
- 1/8 tsp activated charcoal
- Pinch edible shimmer dust
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass and top with a skeleton ice cube (or sphere cube).
Notes
Recipe for simple syrup:
-Combine equal parts water and sugar in a saucepan (1 cup to 1 cup is a great place to start). Swirl the pan until the sugar dissolves. Once cool, transfer to a sealed jar until ready to use. Will remain good for up to 1 week.
