Superfood Peppermint Hot Cocoa

Warm, creamy, and packed with nutrient dense ingredients: this Superfood Peppermint Hot Cocoa is a festive and delicious way to start your day! Cacao is an antioxidant powerhouse and is rich in iron, magnesium, and calcium, making it a perfect healthy ingredient for this cocoa. Naturally sweetened, and flavored with essential oils, this is a feel good treat for a cold day!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp raw cacao powder, see notes
  • 1 Tbsp collagen powder, see notes
  • 1 date
  • 1 drop peppermint oil, see notes

Instructions

  • In a microwave safe dish, warm almond milk and water for 1 minute or until hot.
  • Place warmed liquid, cacao powder, collagen powder, date, and peppermint oil in high power blender. Blend until smooth - but use caution. Some blender models may create extreme pressure when blending if not properly used. Read manufacturer's instructions!
  • Pour warmed beverage in mug and enjoy.
