The Ultimate Grill Burger
Nothing beats a burger on the grill! Every part of this Ultimate Grill Burger gets the charcoal treatment: the bun, burger, lettuce, tomato, and the onion. This recipe is super simple and comes together quickly, meaning more time outside by the grill. Serve with a cold beer, some pasta salad, and fresh watermelon. Nothing tastes better than summer!

For the burgers:
- 2 Lbs Ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp Fresh cracked pepper
- 6 slices good quality sharp cheddar
- 1 large beefsteak tomato
- 3 romaine leaves
- 1 medium red onion
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 6 hamburger buns, sliced
For the burgers:
Preheat grill to 450 degrees.
Open cold beer.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, egg, and pepper. Use hands to thoroughly combine mixture.
Form in to 6 patties, making a slight indent in the center of each burger.
Place burgers on greased grill. Grill for about 5 minutes per side for medium rare (internal temperature of 130-135 degrees). In the last minute of grilling, top each burger with a slice of cheese.
For the lettuce, tomato, and onion:
Rinse off tomato and romaine leaves. Slice the tomato and red onion in to 1/2 inch slices. Brush the tomato slices, red onion slices, and romaine leaves with olive oil. Season each with salt and pepper.
Add vegetables to grill. Grill until charred, about 8 minutes for the onion, 4 minutes for the tomato, and 2 minutes for the romaine,
Add sliced hamburger buns to the grill. Grill until charred, about 2 minutes.
