Salted Maple Almond Chai

- 1 cup almond milk
- 1-2 tsp pure maple syrup
- 1 drop maple extract
- 1 bag chai tea
- Flaky sea salt
- Freshly grated nutmeg, black pepper, cinnamon, or cardamom
In a small saucepan, combine almond milk, maple syrup, and maple extract, bringing to a low simmer. Remove from heat, add tea bag, and allow to steep for at least 5 minutes or up to 10, depending on how strong you want the chai tea flavor.
Remove tea bag. Using a milk frother or hand whisk, froth the chai mixture until foamy. Pour in to mug, top with freshly grated nutmeg, black pepper, cinnamon, or cardamom, and a small sprinkle of flaky sea salt.
