- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 2 lemons
- 3 Tbsp olive oil, garlic-infused recommended
- Maldon Sea Salt
Add water to the bottom of a medium sauce or saute pan (that fits a steamer basket). No need to add too much, about 1/4 inch up the side of your pan is plenty. Add half of one of the lemons, thinly sliced, to the water. Add your steamer basket.
Wash the green beans, trimming their stems. Add to steamer basket. Steam for 5 minutes over medium heat, until fork tender (or until desired tenderness is met).
As the green beans steam, prepare the lemon sauce. In a large bowl whisk together the juice of the other half of the lemon and your olive oil. I made this recipe with garlic-infused olive which turned out delicious! Add a pinch of salt and whisk until combined.
Once green beans are done cooking, add them to the bowl with the lemon sauce. Toss lightly to combine. Transfer to a serving platter and top with thin slices of fresh lemon and sprinkle with Maldon Sea Salt, which offers the perfect, salty crunch.
