Ingredients

  • 10 Oz Coffee beans, roughly ground (see note)
  • 10 cups Cold water

Instructions

  • Place ground coffee in large container or stockpot. Cover with 10 cups cold water. Stir to ensure all coffee grounds are saturated. Allow to sit in refrigerator for at least 12 hours.
  • Line a fine mesh sieve with cheese cloth, and place over a pitcher or other large container. Slowly pour coffee of sieve, stopping sporadically to allow coffee to drain.
  • Once completely strained, place in refrigerator to chill (although, you could technically pour over ice and enjoy immediately if you simply can't wait).
  • Once chilled and ready, fill glass with ice. Add 1/2 cup cold brew and 1/2 cup water. You can choose your own ratio, but the cold brew will be strong! Add desired milk, cream, or sweetener, add straw, and ennnnnnjoy!

Notes

-You'll want to grind your coffee at a rough grind. You'll be straining this through cheesecloth, and you don't want the grind so fine that it strains right through! Aim for granules that are similar in size to kosher salt or raw sugar.
-Please don't skip on the cheesecloth. Unless you're into coffee grounds in your coffee. Seriously, I strained mine three separate times, and STILL had super fine grounds at the bottom of my stock pot.
-I used my favorite new coffee creamer - Califia Vanilla Almondmilk Coffee Creamer. Holy BANANAS this stuff is amazing! My second fave coffee "creamer"? Califia Coconut Almondmilk. Please note: I am not sponsoring the Califia Farms brand, however, @CalifiaFarms, hook a sister up, huh?
