It’s National Chocolate Chip Cookie Week!
Yes, I’m serious!
And no, I don’t know who makes these “holidays” up! But I’m super in to it!
And you should be too. How could you not like chocolate chip cookies?! How sacrilegious! I would argue that everyone (yes, even YOU) enjoys some form of a chocolate chip cookie. Even if you’re one of those people that “don’t like dessert” (I know a few… *side eyes*), I’m sure you enjoy the occasional sweet.
Chocolate Chip Cookies, IMHO, is the standard childhood dessert. Growing up, my parents didn’t have cookies on hand at ALL times, but it was regular enough that I have a number of fond memories with them in it. And honestly, it’s probably one of the first things I learned to bake with my mom. That sticks with you.
Over the lifetime of So Happy You Liked It, I’ve made a few cookie recipes. Just a few though, because I like to focus on balanced eating and snacking. Which doesn’t exactly equate to cookies at all times.
Buuuut, since it’s National Chocolate Chip Cookie Week, I might as well pull out all the stops. I’m going to start training for a race in the next few weeks, so in all reality, I’m just testing recipes to figure out which ones will serve as my post-run “snack”. Again you guys…BALANCE.
The following are a few of my favorite recipes for chocolate chip cookies. Some are old, some are new. Some are borrowed, and uh…none of them are blue. But I hope you enjoy them none the less.
