Grilled Strawberry and Rondelé Crostini

This Grilled Strawberry and Rondelé Crostini is THE appetizer of summer! Sweet juicy strawberries turn smoky on the grill. Slices of baguette are lightly grilled and spread with garlicky Rondelé cheese, and topped with the jammy strawberries. Sweet, savory, and addicting!

Summer’s Perfect Appetizer

Real quick: an honest question. Does anything beat grilling in the summer?

Sure, there’s swimming, breezy bike rides, licking a melting ice cream cone…but those are all given in the steamy months that summer brings. So back to grilling.

I can honestly say that I prefer grilling any and all of my food in the summer. There’s just something about sitting around a hot grill, enjoying some light nibbles and chilled beverages, waiting for your meal to come together.

It doesn’t get more “summer” than this: Grilled Strawberry and Rondelé Crostini!

Grilling Crostini

Crostini is simply thin slices of toasted bread brushed with olive oil. How simple! While they can be paired deliciously with any topping, spread, or a variety of meats, cheeses, and fruits, this happens to be one of my favorite ways to enjoy them!

First things first, you’re grilling the bread. Like I said, crostini is really just slices of bread that have been toasted (grilled!), and brushed with olive oil. So fire up that grill for those char marks!
