Yum! This Tropical Matcha Smoothie is cool, creamy, and so good for you! Matcha is packed with antioxidants, making it a perfect healthy addition to your smoothie. I like to add my favorite protein powder when I need my breakfast on-the-go. This recipe is quick and easy, and so delicious!
This smoothie is my go-to on mornings when I just need a little sunshine in my life.
Which is a lot these days.
Luckily, the weather is getting warmer, the snow is starting to melt, and things are kiiiiind of feeling a bit Springy. But I still wouldn’t turn down this tropical elixir even if it were full-blown 100-kind of day.
The matcha in this smoothie is super subtle, but it packs a serious antioxidant punch! I happen to love the taste of matcha, but if it isn’t your thing, you can add a little less, and add more pineapple to sweeten it up.
The coconut is a tad chewy…reminding me of a “smoothie” that my brother would always get from a very famous ice cream shop while at the zoo when we were kids.
Where it averaged 85 degrees inside.
In January.
Being the best big brother, (albeit following significant coaxing) he would let me have a bite now and again, although he wouldn’t share much more beyond that.
He can keep his ice cream. I’m happy with this beauty.
I like throwing in a scoop of my favorite protein powder if I make this smoothie on a morning that I workout. I’ll make it bright and early and bring it to the gym with me (while actively forcing myself to wait to drink it AFTER my workout). The banana also replenishes the depleted carbohydrates your body used while exercising.
It’s the perfect healthy cool treat!
