The Sip of Summer: Strawberry Lemonade!

Strawberries are synonymous with summer, as is lemonade. I can’t think of a more perfect match! This thirst-quenching sip features freshly picked strawberries (frozen will work just fine too, though!), hand-squeezed lemon juice, honey, and water – that’s it! It’s all blended together yielding a super sippable and lip-smacking lemonade. Read on to learn how to make it!

How To Make Strawberry Lemonade

When thinking about how I wanted to make this recipe, I drew on past experiences making lemonade and other fruit-spiked beverages. I considered making a strawberry simple syrup, mashing strawberries and straining them to remove the remaining seeds, and blending lemons whole. I then realized that like most things, lemonade is best when it’s as uncomplicated as possible.

My recipe uses a high-powered blender or food processor to combine all the ingredients – no extra steps required! To your blender, add the following:

  • Strawberries
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Honey
  • Water

Blend for about a minute and voila! The most perfect and low-lift recipe for the most delicious strawberry lemonade! You can choose to strain out any seeds if you like, but I found that my blender took care of a majority of them (or they simply settle to the bottom of the jar I stored the lemonade in).

Ways To Personalize This Recipe

Switch Up The Fruit

Swap out the strawberries for any other in-season fruit! A few great ideas to consider (combine different fruits and find your favorite!):

  • Blueberry
  • Peach*
  • Raspberry
  • Cherry *
  • Nectarine*
  • Blackberry
  • Kiwi
  • Mango
  • Pineapple
  • Swap lemon juice for lime juice for limeade!

*Ensure pits are removed from any stone fruit before blending.

Spike It!

Grab your favorite spirit and spike this lemonade for a thirst-quenching adult sip. Vodka or gin would be my go-to, but a strawberry limeade with tequila? Sign me up.

Mix It

The lemonade is delicious topped off with a little sparkling water for a bubbly effect, but don’t stop there! Mix with prosecco or white wine for a spritz, add fresh mint, drop in a few fresh berries, and you have yourself a content-worthy drink. You can also scale back on the water when you initially make the mixture, yielding a more concentrated concoction that allows you to customize drinks.
