Time To Soak Up The Season

  1. Make apple crisp, of course! My Apple Crisp with Salted Caramel Ice Cream is a great recipe to start with.
  2. Start a spooky movie list.
  3. Take a drive to see the changing colors. Check out when the colors will peak in your location!
  4. Find a new favorite cool weather beverage. Whether it’s something warm and caffeinated, spiked and sultry, or perhaps a mixture of the two…find something that warms you from the inside out.

6. Purge your summer closet. Time to get honest with yourself: what’s outdated, doesn’t fit well, or have you not worn in the past year? Time for it to go!

7. Sip a cider! Check out my Hard Cider Taste Test in which I tried 12 different hard ciders and hailed one supreme.

8. Take Halloween to the next level. Get creative with your costume, using items you already have on hand.

9. Find a new slow cooker recipe to make on repeat in the chillier months. The smell of my Slow Cooker Balsamic Beef Stew is reason enough to try this scrumptious recipe…it’s a favorite in my house.

10. It wouldn’t be Autumn without a bonfire! Bundle up on a chilly night and warm up outside.

11. Plan now for a colorful 2021: plant Spring bulbs! I love tulips, hyacinth, and allium, but there are so many options. Research what growing zone you’re in and find some blooms that make you happy!

12. Find a new favorite treat using the quintessential flavors of Fall. I include some delicious options in my article Sweets and Treats To Try This Fall. Those Pumpkin Brown Butter Blondies are a non-negotiable!

13. Arrange a bouquet of autumnal blooms. Check out my guide for How To Create A Stunning Fall Floral Arrangement for tips and tricks.

15. Carve a pumpkin. Don’t forget to roast the seeds!

16. Open the windows. This is an intentional habit I have every Spring and Fall. There’s something about the routine of letting stale air leave your home that I believe welcomes in new opportunities and fresh perspectives.

17. Make your very own Pumpkin Spice Latte! Check out my article for 3 Cozy Coffeeshop Drinks To Try At Home for more seasonal sippers.

18. Support a local winery or brewery. So many locations have pickup options as well now, so you can enjoy local sips safely.

19. Read a ghost story.

20. Enjoy your favorite candy from when you were a kid.

21. Playing in the leaves doesn’t just have to be for the littles! Amidst a productive afternoon in the yard, allow yourself to jump in to a leaf pile or two.

22. Try an unlikely pumpkin recipe. My Chicken Enchiladas with Pumpkin Sauce are a delicious option to enjoy pumpkin in new way.
