These Caramelized Pear, Sage, and Orange Biscuits are the perfect mixture of savory and sweet. Pears are caramelized with sage, giving a barely-there sweetness. Their delicious on their own, but make an amazing base for poached eggs!
Butter My Biscuit!
These puppies are gooooood.
I’m not a big “biscuit” person.
There. I said it.
It’s not that I don’t love them – they’re delicious, of course! I’ve just never been one to grab for a biscuit when other delicious breakfast carbs are available to me.
That is, of course, until I made these Caramelized Pear, Sage, and Orange Biscuits.
Caramelized Pear. What sounds more fancy than that?
Tell someone you made anything beginning with “Caramelized Pear”, and you’re bound to get a blank stare in return.
- Jealousy.
- Awe.
- Appreciation.
But, tell them you made Caramelized Pear, Sage, and Orange BISCUITS….
Well, there really is no telling what will happen. Unless you make them and find out.
These little morsels of heavenly flavor are delicious on their own. Perhaps with a little butter?
MMMMMMMM.
But to take things even more over the top, might I suggest:
- Using them as a base for an updated Eggs Benny. Serve with sage hollandaise sauce to your crew if you want people to spontaneously kiss you.
- Serve with apple or pear preserves to up the autumnal-vibes.
- Halve and serve with a scoop of cinnamon gelato, drizzled with salted caramel sauce.
GOOD NIGHT! Or Good morning, depending on when you enjoy these. Either way, you’ll love them!
