What's In A Cranberry Rosé Gin & Tonic?

Lets start with the basics. A Gin and Tonic includes two ingredients.: gin and tonic. Perhaps a tad too basic, maybe? Let’s move on.

The gorgeous gemstone hue comes from two rosy ingredients: cranberry juice and rosé!

Though it may seem odd to add wine to a cocktail…trust me? Trust me. It adds an entirely different drinkability to the cocktail, offering another layer of sweet bitterness.

The cranberry juice is added in a conservative amount, but we’re also adding my new favorite secret ingredient for cocktails: Cranberry Bitters.  They add a concentrated cranberry kick, which I’ve loved in a variety of holiday-themed cocktails, or even to simply kick up a glass of sparkling water.

A homemade thyme simple syrup adds an unexpected layer of herbaceous flavor, pairing perfectly with the bitterness from the cranberry and rosé.
