These Festive Aperol Sodas are the perfect way to celebrate the holidays! Bitter, slightly sweet, and simple. The perfect aperitif!
Show Stopping Sips
The merriment that comes with the holidays means there are consistent opportunities to celebrate. With that, of course, comes the big question: what to drink?
Though the options are endless, I like switch up what I sip every now and then. Especially when a big meal or lots of snacking is bound to happen, which is a season in itself, beginning with Thanksgiving.
Regardless of what you’re doing to celebrate, a beautifully garnished beverage makes the moment feel much more special.
Festive Aperol Sodas
If you’ve never heard of or tried Aperol, now is the time! Aperol is classically bitter, made from bitter and sweet oranges, rhubarb, and herbs. It has a light orange flavor and a brilliant hue. It’s best known as being used in an Aperol Spritz, a combination of Aperol and Prosecco.
While an Aperol Spritz is absolutely delicious, when I want a light aperitif, an Aperol Soda is the perfect option.
How To Make Festive Aperol Sodas
Clocking in at just two ingredients: Aperol and soda, what makes these cocktails fun is the garnishes. Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme make for a both a beautiful and fragrant garnish, while fresh citrus slices add color and juiciness.
