Mom's Amaretto Creams

My Mom's Amaretto Creams are truly the most delicious dessert I've ever had. Fluffy, creamy clouds of amaretto nirvana are topped with fresh macerated berries.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup amaretto
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cups Strabwberries, Raspberries, Blueberries, Blackberries a mixture is delicious!
  • 1/4 cup sugar optional to macerate berries
  • Fresh mint, to garnish

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and amaretto mixing with a handheld mixer to combine.
  • In another large bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Fold in to cream cheese mixture.
  • Mound mixture in 1/2 cupfulls on to a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Using a spoon or spatula, shape mounds in to mini cup, indenting the center. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm. Can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance.
  • 30 minutes before serving, place berries in a bowl and add sugar (if using). Toss to combine. You can skip this step if you like, but this draws out some of the berries juice, which is delicious!
  • To serve, plate each Amaretto Cream and top with berries. Garnish with mint.

    1. Thanks for catching that Bernadette! I’ve updated the recipe to include the amaretto when mixing the cream cheese and sugar together. These are my favorite – I hope you enjoy!
