Winter Sage & Orange Bourbon Cocktail
Warm Bourbon, bright orange, and savory sage come together in this delicious cocktail! I always prefer cocktails like this when the weather chills. Flavors that are more complex, deeper, and robust. Bourbon pairs perfectly with the earthiness that sage brings, along with the delicate acidity that comes with fresh squeezed orange juice.
How To Make A Winter Sage & Orange Bourbon Cocktail
This warming cocktail all starts with a very easy simple syrup. Here’s how to make it:
- Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan set over medium heat. Swirl the pan to ensure the sugar dissolves. Once it dissolves, remove from the heat.
- Add sage to the pan. Squeeze each of the orange wedges into the saucepan and add them also. Allow to steep for at least 30 minutes.
- Strain syrup into a glass jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
