Greek Eats

If there’s one cuisine I’m apt to order or make, it has to be Greek. Well, technically anything Mediterranean…but the cuisine of Greece seems to be my favorite. What’s not to love?! Tangy feta cheese, charred meats, and perfectly seasoned vegetables. It’s healthy and fresh, which is how I try to eat most of the time.

I already have a few Greek recipes on my site, but I was surprised to find that I didn’t have a basic Greek marinated chicken breast recipe! I genuinely make this chicken at least once a week. It’s unbeatably simple, customizable, and always delivers consistently delicious results. Read on to learn more about how I make my Greek Marinated Chicken!

How To Make Greek Marinated Chicken

If I haven’t made it abundantly clear, I absolutely adore Greek food. For marinating chicken, there’s a host of delicious ingredients that you can choose to flavor the humble meat (all of which are in this recipe!):

  • Olive oil
  • Lemon Juice
  • Red Wine Vinegar
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Oregano
  • Mint
  • Greek Yogurt

I love how the cool and creamy yogurt adds a refreshing tang, which balances nicely with the acid from the vinegar and lemon juice. The fresh herbs add lovely freshness which is only amplified when it’s served.

How To Serve Greek Marinated Chicken

This chicken quite literally goes great with anything. I like making a little extra on the weekends so I can toss it into salads for lunch during the week. Chopped up and tossed with a little more Greek yogurt, it’s amazing tucked into a pita. One of my favorite simple ways to eat this mouthwatering chicken is topped with a huge palmful of chopped herbs and served with a dollop of greek yogurt.
