This Sesame Ginger Chicken is packed with tangy, salty, and spicy flavor. It’s simple to make and is ready in no time!
Fast and Fresh Flavor
Warm, tantalizing, and spicy. When I think of the classic flavors of Asian cooking, these are just a few of the adjectives that come to mind.
The zippy bite of fresh ginger.
The hot spice of sliced peppers.
The tangy saltiness of soy.
What I love most about this cuisine is the amount of flavor that’s present in its dishes, but also the versatility of them. This chicken is delicious in a comforting bowl of ramen, served with tender-crisp vegetables, tucked into a spring roll, or chopped up and folded into a pan of fried rice. It’s incredibly simple and I can’t say it enough: so very flavorful! Read on to learn more about my Sesame Ginger Chicken.
How To Make Sesame Ginger Chicken
As with other grilled chicken recipes I have on So Happy You Liked It, this one takes just 30 minutes to marinate. You could choose to marinate it longer if you’re planning supper in advance. Note that whenever a marinade has a high amount of acid in it (such as citrus juice), the longer it sits in the marinade, the more the texture will change. The acid starts to break down the proteins in the meat, which if left too long, can make the chicken mushy.
What's In Sesame Ginger Marinade?
This marinade gets its salty and tangy bite from a combination of mouthwatering ingredients:
- Sesame Oil
- Rice Wine Vinegar
- Lime Juice
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Aminos (or another soy substitute)
It’s a flavor explosion, good enough to dip raw veggies in, drizzle over rice noodles, or simply slurp with a spoon! It tenderizes the chicken, meaning you’ll end up with tender and juicy results.
