This Strawberry, Arugula and Taleggio Flatbread is savory, sweet, and satisfying. Store-bought naan serves as the base for melty cheese, peppery greens, sweet summer berries, and tart balsamic glaze.

Quick & Simple
It’s recipes like this that make me realize how easy cooking truly can be. I think that cooking is often viewed as a chore, or something to dread. The key is to find recipes that come together quickly, with simple ingredients, that taste delicious. This is one of those recipes!
I love that this recipe leans on store-bought options like garlic naan, fresh ingredients like peppery arugula and juciy strawberries, and one indulgent option (if you choose!): the taleggio cheese. You can opt for a vairety of other cheeses here depending on your tastes. Read on to learn how to make this simple recipe!

Ingredients
- Garlic Naan: A leavened flatbread that’s common in South, Southeast, and Central Asian cuisine, naan is an excellent option for making flatbreads. They’re pillowy yet sturdy, serving as the perfect base for a variety of ingredients. Most grocery stores have these in the bread aisle – I love Trader Joe’s Garlic Naan!
- Taleggio Cheese: A semi-soft Italian cow’s milk cheese, Taleggio is known for being quite…stinky. It’s similar in texture to a soft brie, but the flavor is much more pronounced. It’s buttery and smooth, however, complementing the other ingredients perfectly.
- Arugula: This peppery green is commonly used to top pizzas and flatbreads, and offers a fresh spicy bite.
- Strawberries: Savory recipes that feature strawberries, or any berry for that matter, are my favorite. It’s such an unexpected way to enjoy the fruit, and man does it WORK.
- Balsamic Glaze: The perfect kiss of tart sweetness, adding an acidic element rounds out all the flavors of this beautiful flatbread.
