Nothing beats a burger on the grill! Every part of this Ultimate Grill Burger gets the charcoal treatment: the bun, burger, lettuce, tomato, and the onion. This recipe is super simple and comes together quickly, meaning more time outside by the grill. Serve with a cold beer, some pasta salad, and fresh watermelon. Nothing tastes better than summer!

Let's Grill A Burger

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there! This one goes out to mine: the music buff, bow hunting guru, fisherman, expert craftsman, incredible gardener, pie baker, history nerd, and of course, the Grill Master.

To sum it up, I guess I could say:
  • The Man.
  • The Myth.
  • The Legend.

In a previous post, I talked about my Father’s grilling capabilities. Growing up, there was rarely a week that went by when we didn’t have something grilled for supper. Even in the winter months (which in MinneSNOWta can be a challenge), grilling on the patio was common.

But in the summer, there’s something magical about grilling out. A cold beer, the smoky coals, the hot sun, and the promise that something delicious is about to happen (without having to “suit up” in a winter coat and huge boots to check on your dinner).

And summertime wouldn’t be complete without a burger on the grill, am I riiiiiiight? And it doesn’t HAVE to be beef –  it can be bison, turkey, chicken, veggie…whatever your heart desires. However, for THIS burger, I may be a little biased.

The ULTIMATE Grill Burger.

How To Make The Ultimate Grill Burger

Every component of this burger is grilled! The bun, the burger, the onions, the tomato, heck – even the lettuce is grilled!

Ketchup, mustard, or mayo. People get a little crazy about their opinions on this topic, so I’ll keep mine to myself. Condiment as you see fit.

Can you think of a better way to spend a sunny Father’s Day? Great. I’ll see you at the grill.
