How To Make Smoked Salmon And Cucumber Canapés
These pretty little bites include just 6 ingredients to put together:
- Cucumber
- Whipped Cream Cheese
- Smoked Salmon (Lox-style!)
- Fresh Dill
- Capers
- Red Onion
Assembling them couldn’t be any easier. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
- Slice cucumber into uniform rounds
- Spread with whipped cream cheese
- Add slices of smoked salmon
- Top with thinly sliced red onion, fresh dill and capers.
If you’re serving these for a party or gathering, put your guests to work! Have one person spread each cucumber with cheese, while the other one tops each with the remaining ingredients.

Smoked Salmon and Cucumber Canapés
Ingredients
- 12 cucumber slices, about 1/4 inch thick
- 1/3 cup whipped cream cheese
- 4 oz thinly sliced lox-style smoked salmon
- Fresh Dill, to garnish
- Capers, to garnish
- Thinly sliced red onion, to garnish
Instructions
- Arrange cucumber slices on a platter. If you have more than 12 slices, that's just fine!
- Using a small offset spatula, spread whipped cream cheese over each cucumber slice.
- Arrange smoked salmon slices on top of each slice.
- Top with thinly sliced red onion, fresh dill sprigs, and capers. No need to measure - add as much or as little as you think looks nice and will taste good!
- Serve immediately or chill up to 2 hours before serving.
