Isn’t food more fun when it’s eaten off of a skewer?! These Melon And Prosciutto Skewers With Marinated Artichokes are the perfect little nibble to make that everyone will love! 

I created this recipe for Lake Country Journal: a publication out of northern Minnesota that featured this and another recipe along with an article I wrote regarding “Aprés Boating“.

You may be familiar with the term Aprés when talking about the post-skiing fun that happens in the winter months. I talk more about it in this article! Essentially, Aprés Boating is the activity that occurs after a long day on the water, and you come back thirsty and hungry for a little snack.

These skewers are the perfect Aprés Boat Bite! Read on to learn all about them.

How To Make These Skewers

Ingredients

  • Prosciutto
  • Ripe cantaloupe 
  • Marinated artichokes
  • Bocconcini or fresh mozzarella 
  • Balsamic glaze
  • Fresh basil 

Instructions

  1. Thread prosciutto, cantaloupe, marinated artichokes, and bocconcini onto skewers. Depending on the size of your skewer, repeat as needed.
  2. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. When ready to enjoy, arrange on a platter and drizzle with balsamic glaze. Top with chopped basil.

Personalizing these skewers couldn’t be easier. Just about any ingredient that you would find on a charcuterie board or fruit or veggie platter could be skewered. Choose your favorite ingredients and thread away!
